Time Slice

 

A Time Slice is an image that combines a series of photos taken from one location over time. Each of my Time Slice images is unique, made from a different number of images, over a different amount of time, and different shape. My process involves a great deal of exploration and experimentation by mixing time and shape in various ways. Often I visit a location numerous times until the best light and weather is captured. I created my first Time Slice in 2013 as a quick way to share my timelapse videos as a still back when you couldn’t easily post a video on the social media. The series quickly evolved from there and became one of my favorite series. For more information check out my video that explains my process for creating the Time Slices.
